• Production of a State Tourism Guide, chronicling the state’s culture and tourism development attractions and abundant potentials for tourists and investors

  • Interaction with stakeholders in the Culture and Tourism Sector including Ibom Tourism Association, Actors Guild of Nigeria and Tourism Practitioners, among others

  • Collaboration with Ibom Tourism Association to host the maiden Akwa Ibom mini-Cultural Carnival tagged “Mbre Nnyin”

  • Participation at the 2015 African Arts and Craft Expo (AFAC) in Abuja

  • Participation in the World Travel Market (Excel London), which is an international tourism exhibition market in London, where state exhibited her wealth in arts and craft potentials

  • Participation in the AKWAABA Fair in Lagos, which provided government the opportunity to exhibit the rich arts, crafts and tourism potentials of the state to the global market

  • Discussions with a consultant, Whichwish Koncept Ltd, towards producing a Tourism Master Plan for the state. The Master Plan is to provide the needed framework to stimulate robust tourism engagements to generate employment and create wealth for the people

  • Discussions with investors from South Africa and Israel for investment in tourism related areas in the state

  • Meeting with the Akwa Ibom Hotel Proprietors’ Association (AHPA) to deliberate on boosting hospitality industry in the state Collaboration with Itu local government in hosting a culture and tourism carnival in Itu, tagged “Uku Itu” 2015

  • Repositioning and strengthening of operations of Le ’Meridien Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort as well as renovation with designs from Starwood headquarters

  • Redesigning of Ibom Unity Park for transformation into a World-Class Festival Village

  • Effective coordination of Council for Arts and Culture, CAC, and Hotels Management Board, HTB, for enhanced marketing of the State’s culture and tourism resources

  • Attended the African Festival of Arts and Culture exhibition (AFAC EXPO 2015)

  • Hosted the 2016 National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST), with the theme "Exploring the Goldmine inherent in Nigerian Creative Industries". Akwa Ibom came second in the overall competitive performances.

  • Organized the 2016 Maize Festival (Usoro Abakpa 2016).

  • Organized the 2016 Arts and Craft Exhibition (Akwa Uso 2016).

  • Organized Akwa Ibom Food Fair and Beverages Exhibition 2016.

  • Attended the Festival of Arts and Culture Exhibition (AFAC Expo) 2015 in Abuja where Akwa Ibom State emerged best overall participating state.

  • Attended the AKWAABA FAIR in Lagos. The fair provided the Ministry and its parastatals (the Council of Arts and Culture and state Tourism Board) the opportunity to exhibit the state’s rich arts, craft and tourism potentials to the global market.
